Penn State's problem

In the way such subjects are sensitive, the problem that Sandusky faces is sensitive as well as serious. A case such as this would be taken to a level of complete secrecy to attempt to keep the image of the children from taking a toll. But with such celebrity offenders media was bound to step in. As the problem came about, the media gave it a full cover that rose to a magnitude where a whole community of students rioted the streets. The media has given the case a profile rival the case of Michael Jackson.
In a case such as this one power, media, and deviance have all intersected in a focal point of chaos. On one hand we have the power that Paterno had created over the perception and attitudes of the Penn State community. Second the influence that media has created over the public. A lot of people have such a weak view and opinion, that they allow them selves to believe anything told to them by any form of media. Third we see the side of deviance. Where a man was accused of a criminal act towards minors. With the story connecting to the disappearance of a prosecuting attorney back in the late 1990's. Such mix of cases add to a result of great chaos.

In a case involving defendants such as Sandusky and Paterno, media and gender are part of the reason for the cover up. On the side of gender, it is the view of men, as strong emotionless subjects could provide the reason for the way the case developed. It could have been that Joe Paterno saw the fault in his assistant coach, and expected that a simple verbal warning would bring a man to his senses. On the other side of media, the creation of such a legacy by Paterno, many would not believe that such problems would ever rise up, let alone happen in such a structured program. One must see all the sides of the case in order to come to a conclusion of how it all transpired through out the years that Sandusky commmirted the actions he is accused of.

I personally believe that Sandusly needs to be taken to a trial to be punished for what he did to all the children that were victims to his actions. It is within the law that men must find the answers to deal with such problems. Along with Sandusky, Paterno and the rest of the staff from the university need to be held accountable for their neglect to take action. In the correct actions would have been taken in a timely manner, many children could have been save, and Sandusky's problem could have been treated
