Distance Learning Assignment

Over all the social media has given the public a "voice" in the Penn State scandal. This vioce seems overwhelming negative about the whole scandal and I found very few tweets about people supporting Joe Paterno. It is my opinion that this whole scandal is about money, media, and power. Penn State forced the grad student to keep his mouth shut with threats on his career because they did not want this news about Sangusty to get out. Penn State wanted to continue its power in the college sporting arena and by this news getting out they potential lose millions because of all the negative media attention. I do understand where Paterno is coming from when he basically was trying to protect the unversity and one of his friends from the negative attention they are all recieving now but he should of said something and done what was morally correct.
As a huge college football fan, my first reaction to this entire scandal was, "they cant fire Joe Pa!" However, after reading the police report and understanding that Paterno had some form of knowledge as to what his defensive coordinator was doing I completely agree in the University's decision to fire him. This is not about football this is about people failing to do what was morally correct. Beyond the sex scandal, will the NCAA ever get a grip on the curruptions that has been taking place at college campus' over the past couple years?!
