Is this a change of lifestyle?

Tiger Woods faces off against Cink in today's (Feb. 24) 36-hole final of the $8-million Accenture Match Play Championship. Many audiences are watching who will win and get the prize at today’s match. I was surprised at the big prize money which keeps increasing but decreasing the golf population instead. Many golf courses are forced to close now because of the declining numbers of golf players. Actually we see broader decline in outdoor activities, including tennis, swimming, hiking, biking, etc. but soaring population of electric games and newer sports like skateboarding. As a reason for the declining golf population, we can think of the economic reason such as our wages are not going up but the equipment fee is expensive, so we can not afford. Or maybe just the change of sport trend. But another reason we can add is that men don’t spend a whole day for playing golf on Saturday and Sunday as they did years ago. Today, men are driving kids to their soccer games and lessons and having a lunch together with their families. ( Off course, I appreciate that!) But is this a change of our lifestyle as a result of feminist movements or just the increase of a domestic man?
